AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is striker. She also serves as captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in United States. From 2018 to 2020, she was co-captained by the women's soccer national soccer team along with Megan Rapinoe. [8][9] Morgan was selected number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she had graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. There, she made her debut in professional football and assisted the team in winning the league title. Morgan was only 22 at the time, and was the youngest player in the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. In 2012's London Olympics she scored the match-winning goal the 123rd minute in the semi-final match against Canada. She finished 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019. Morgan was selected to the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
