Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best Actress Award for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. Can speak French, German, English as well as Romanian fluently. Her mother was a violinist as did her father, who is a the theater professor at one of the top drama schools in Romania. "The Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. Also, she appeared as the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC 5-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a character in Yasim anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, along with Boogie, the Romanian film Boogie. Later, she had a major performance in the 2014 film Fury where she played an German woman whose name was Irma aunt to Emma.
